Darren Sharper rape case: Did NFL vet apologize to some of his alleged victims? [VIDEO]

Former NFL Pro Bowler Darren Sharper apologized to one of the women he is now accused of raping in Arizona, according to TMZ Sports.

The website reports Sharper apologized to the alleged victim and a friend of hers he is also charged with assaulting the morning after the attacks occurred.

TMZ adds the information can be found a police report released by the Tempe Police Dept. in November of 2013, shortly after three women stepped forward to claim they had been drugged and assaulted by the former Super Bowl champion and New Orleans Saints star after meeting him in a Scottsdale bar.

The reports adds none of the women could actually recall having sex with Sharper, but they all strongly suspected something happened based on the fact their genitals were sore. TMZ also reports one of the women confronted Sharper the next morning with her suspicions as she drove him to breakfast.

"I don't really remember," TMZ quotes the woman as claiming Sharper responded. "I guess I could have done that, I'm really sorry."

The women eventually went to police and claimed they were drugged earlier that night. Cops later tested a shot glass that Sharper allegedly used when he spiked their drinks and its since been reported it tested positive for the sleep-inducing drug Ambien.

Sharper, 38, has denied all the charges.
