It has been rumored that Scott Hall may be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year at the New Orleans Arena on April 5, which is the eve of WrestleMania XXX, and Hall played with some fans on Twitter over the weekend when discussing the fact that his account had been verified around the same time as other WWE legends going into the Hall of Fame.

Hall's Twitter handle @SCOTTHALLNWO recently received the "blue check" that makes it a verified account, right after The Ultimate Warrior, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Lita--the trio currently announced to be in the WWE Hall of Fame's Class of 2014--also received the blue check. Hall then took to Twitter to stir up some speculation amid talks that he may be enshrined this year.

Hall tweeted on Friday: "Me @JakeSnakeDDT and @AmyDumas [Lita] all verified at the same time. Hmmm...."

He then added: "Add @UltimateWarrior to that same list...hmmm"

PWInsider speculated over the weekend that Hall may be officially announced as a member of the Hall of Fame on Monday's edition of RAW. Hall appeared in the WWE from 1992-96 under the "Razor Ramon" gimmick before jumping ship to WCW and changing the face of wrestling in 1996 by becoming one of the original three members of the New World Order along with Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan. After WCW closed its doors, Hall made appearances in WWE in 2002.

Hall then took to Twitter on Sunday to try and dispel the speculation that he'd be in the Hall of Fame. It's unknown if he was trying to swerve fans so the announcement would be a surprise or if he is telling the truth.

It's possible the WWE got upset over the fact that he gave things away and he could be trying to fix it as well. Hall has had trouble staying sober, but much like Jake Roberts he moved in with Diamond Dallas Page to get cleaned up and is on the road to recovery and now could be ready to be honored by the WWE.

Hall sent out a series of tweets to try to dispel the rumors:

"Merely an observation of the state of @verified accounts on @twitter. Nothing more..."

"ATTENTION: I've made no commitments to appear in New Orleans at this time. I'm a businessman and am welcoming offers. Thanks #BadGuy"

"Not sure I'd pass the popularity contest with the suits in Stamford, CT who make the decision..."

"Sorry...it's news to me. Not sure I'm popular enough in Stamford, CT"

"Not sure I'd pass the popularity contest in Stamford...#BROTHER"

It's unknown if the WWE will add Hall to the 2014 Hall of Fame, but with only three names announced so far it's possible Hall's name will be added to the list
