Ray Allen blackjack loss at Bellagio: 'Jesus Shuttlesworth' drops $10K per hand in Vegas, no 'chicken dinner' for Heat sniper? [VIDEO]

Ray Allen might be an NBA Finals hero, but Lady Luck doesn't play favorites. Either that or Allen used up his allotment of karma when he kept Miami alive in last season's Game 6 miracle win.

According to TMZ.com, Allen was on the Vegas strip during All-Star weekend dropping loads of money at the blackjack table in the Bellagio casino. TMZ Sports said sources spotted Allen at a high-roller table, with each hand costing a minimum of $1,000. Allen reportedly had a stack of about 30 or 40 yellow chips, $1,000 each, and was blowing through them on a bad streak.

TMZ's sources told the site that Allen, also known as Jesus Shuttlesworth from the Spike Lee joint He Got Game, could've taken a lesson from the crew of 21, because he left the exclusive Club Prive lounge without any chips in hand.

Don't feel too bad for the Heat sharpshooter, though. As TMZ mentioned he once signed an $80 million contract at the peak of his basketball powers, and is set to earn $3, 229, 050 this season as the Heat try to three-peat.

While Allen is no longer the destructive force he was in his prime, he remains one of the game's premier shooters and an integral part of the Miami Heat offense. He has been a part of two championships, with the Celtics in 2008 and last season with LeBron and co., and even now is connecting on 35 percent of his 3-pointers at age 38.

It seems like Allen should take a gambling hiatus, lest he follow in the footsteps of other basketball greats like Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, whose legendary habits became more widely known once their playing days were finished.
