The Denver Nuggets have worked out point guard Andre Miller this week in New Orleans and could have him back in the line-up after being banished since December 30 following a public outburst with head coach Brian Shaw.

According to CBSSports.com, Miller could be reactivated given the team's injury woes and a difficult trade market. The Nuggets have been one of the most disappointing teams this season with a 24-27 record following last season's playoff run. It has also been a victim of the injury bug with key players like JaVale McGee and Nate Robinson out with injuries.

Sources told CBSSports.com that Miller has kept himself in shape, even losing 12 pounds since he was kept away from the team.

The same news outlet reports that the lack of point guard depth is one of the team's motivation in bringing back the 37 year old veteran. Likewise, the difficulty in trading him away is also prompting the Nuggets to activate him instead. While Miller has a fully non-guaranteed $4.6 million salary next season, Denver has been unable to find takers who want to give up on young assets in exchange for the wily veteran.

The Nuggets are targeting to send Miller to a contender needing help in the backcourt so they can get an asset in exchange. Last December, there were talks that he could be headed to the Sacramento Kings. But the issue has died down because the Kings are in the basement of the Western Conference and pretty much headed to the lottery.
