With the chatter about CM Punk and chants of his name from the WWE's fans having died down in recent weeks, there is still some concern from officials about the March 3 RAW in Punk's hometown of Chicago, and the consensus about Punk leaving backstage has begun to change.

The company is satisfied that the crowds did not hijack its programming this week unlike the way the crowds reacted after Punk walked out on the company prior to the Jan. 27 Monday Night RAW episode

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is some concern over the March 3 RAW and the WWE is worried that the crowd will run rampant and drown out the show with "CM Punk" chants. To combat this, the WWE is considering having The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan attend the March 3 RAW, according to the report, as they will be part of the big Feb. 24 RAW to promote the WWE Network launch the week before.

The WWE feels bringing in two legends the caliber of Hogan and The Undertaker should help to silence the crowd a little bit in case they get rowdy and begin to chant for Punk. While the chants were very loud and happened often during the beginning of the situation, after a mild weekend of house shows and nothing happening in Los Angeles for RAW, the WWE feels as though the situation is over aside from the worry about the Chicago RAW.

The WWE tried to combat possible chants at the Staples Center RAW on Monday by bringing out Daniel Bryan twice--including before the main event between John Cena and Randy Orton--and having him go over, Wrestligheadlines.com reports.

According to the site, there remain mixed feelings within the company about Punk's status and virtually nobody agrees with him for walking out just a half hour before a live television taping.

Many backstage have sympathy for the concerns that led to Punk leaving the company, but a lot of people feel as though he was the No.2 guy in the company just behind Cena and that he shouldn't be complaining.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that Punk wasn't seen as a big ticket seller and only was occasionally seen as a pay-per-view draw while his merchandise ranked him No.2 in the company in sales.

WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon has reportedly wanted to bring Punk back, but there is no word on if Punk is willing to come back or if there have been any discussions about a return.

Punk was reportedly upset about his stance in the company and part-timers like Batista and The Rock main eventing WrestleMania while he and others toured the whole year just to be placed in the middle of the card at the biggest show of the year.

With his contract set to run out in July and his dream of main eventing a WrestleMania seeming all but dead, Punk opted to walk out on the company ahead of his rumored match with Triple H at WrestleMania XXX.

Punk, who was said to be very unhappy and not willing to re-sign a contract when his deal was up in July, may never return to a WWE ring.
