Warren Sapp Bet Rick Ross $100 K On Denver Broncos Super Bowl Win? [VIDEO] Sapp Apologizes To Michael Strahan, Stays In News

While gambling fans followed the saga of Floyd Mayweather's mythical $10.4 million bet on the Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, NFL analyst Warren Sapp was caught on camera making a wager of a smaller amount with Miami rapper Rick Ross.

Sapp and Ross were face to face on video as Sapp kept warning Ross, "Don't bet that" and grimacing. They visibly shook hands, and as Ross left the building he spilled the beans that Sapp had bet him $100,000 that Denver would win.

Super Bowl XLVIII kicked off at 6:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, and saw the Seahawks fulfill Ross' prophecy. Seattle knocked off Denver 43-8 in one-sided beatdown, which figures to leave Sapp's wallet hurting. It has been a tough weekend for the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer champion, who continued a nasty media feud with ex-New York Giant Michael Strahan.

Sapp was loudly critical of Strahan's Hall of Fame candidacy, and questioned both his resume and sack record. "I don't think his résumé stacks up," Sapp said, according to ESPN. "Four straight Pro Bowls and a mythical sack record. When you really measure it up, he comes up short, except you all are giving it to him."

Strahan responded to the verbal attacks by saying, "Football was part of my life, but it is not my entire life," Strahan said via ESPN. "So for some guys, maybe that's their entire life and that's all they have to hold onto. Playing football, sacking quarterbacks, that was part of my life, and I did it and I moved on. The tiger does not pay attention to the opinion of the sheep."

Their battle extended even beyond that, before Sapp called off the dogs. "I hugged him and wouldn't let him go," Sapp said Sunday on NFL Network following Strahan's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

"I said, 'Please forgive me.' I said, 'Dumb Lex Luthor came to the city of Gotham and pulled Superman's cape. How foolish could I have been, my man? Please forgive me.'"
