It has been reported over the past couple of weeks that the WWE has still been in talks with Sting regarding him jumping ship from TNA and crossing over to the WWE for the first time in his career, and reports have circulated that he may have agreed to a contract with the WWE and he could possibly appear on programming soon.

The WWE has been looking to land Sting for years, and there were rumors that Sting might take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, though RantSports.com has reported Sting has agreed to a deal with the company and may even be inducted into the 2014 or 2015 Hall of Fame.

A report from RantSports.com says the following:

"I have heard it from a good source that Sting and WWE have actually agreed to a deal, including a WWE Hall of Fame induction. The Hall of Fame induction may not come in 2014, but possibly 2015 as WWE may want to feature Sting and get the fan base familiar with him on WWE Television over the next year so that his induction is even more special. I anticipate a career DVD will also be in the mix later this year as well as a heavy presence of Sting on WWE Network."

Reports on Wednesday indicated that the WWE wanted it to be decided whether or not Sting would join the company within the next two weeks as the company is planning its booking for WrestleMania XXX on Sunday, April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans for its biggest show of the year.

The reports over the past week was that there were a few hurdles for the WWE and Sting to clear before he'd sign a deal--including what he'd be willing to do and not willing to do regarding creative plans, and it wasn't definite that he would sign with the company as he could always opt to re-join TNA.

Now, a few reports have come out saying that it is believed that Sting has at least agreed in principle to a deal with the WWE, even if the contract isn't signed yet.

The WWE may not have Sting wrestle at WrestleMania XXX if they sign him, but he may make a cameo appearance or the WWE may air a vignette involving him during the show. A Sting and Undertaker match has been rumored for a few months, but it seems that the WWE will continue to push towards an Undertaker and Brock Lesnar match.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the feeling within the WWE is that if Sting was ever to join the company the time is now.

The WWE is also looking to use Sting as a way to launch their WWE Network at the end of February as they would like to use him to advertise their vast amount of WCW content that is going to be on it.

It's up in the air whether or not the WCW and TNA icon will jump ship, but reports make it seem as though Sting is heading to the WWE for the first time ever.
