Reports circulating early Wednesday morning indicate that CM Punk has quit the WWE, leaving his match with Triple H at WrestleMania XXX in doubt. Punk's frustrations with the company have been boiling for a while and perhaps it is what has led to him walking out on the WWE.

According to multiple sources that include Wrestling Observer and PWInsider, Punk told WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon that he was going home and wasn't coming back after he was written out of this week's Monday Night RAW.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reported on Monday that there were re-writes done to the RAW script following Sunday night's tumultuous Royal Rumble pay-per-view that left many fans outraged.

Punk was originally rumored to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but after Monday's RAW it looks as though the WWE is leaning towards a Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H match. It is uncertain if Punk left the WWE because of the change to the match or if the match was changed following Punk's departure.

Punk was feuding with The Authority and following the Royal Rumble it looked as though Punk was heading towards a match with Kane at the WWE's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Feb. 23 at the Target Center in Minneapolis to bridge to the WrestleMania match, but obviously with his departure it would seem that those plans are scrapped.

Punk has been very frustrated in recent years, especially with "part-timers" coming back to the company for one-off programs and performances at WrestleMania while he and the rest of the wrestlers work all-year round just to be shuffled down to the midcard at the biggest show of the year.

Punk expressed resentment over the fact that The Rock and John Cena fought each other at WrestleManias XXVIII and XXIX the last two years while he was sauntered down the card where he took on Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship then The Undertaker last year. Batista returning only to get the WrestleMania XXX main event spot probably only angered Punk more.

PWInsider reported that Punk's goal was to main event WrestleMania and with his contract expiring in July and it looking more and more like he won't be headlining the show this year, the failure to attain this goal may be the key force behind his departure.

Punk expressed his frustration with last year's main event.

"I don't really mince words, I'm not gonna tell you I'm excited for Cena and Rock II because I'm not," Punk told reporters during WrestleMania XXIX weekend last year. "I'd be more excited if it was me and John [Cena]."

All signs indicate that Punk is done with the WWE.
