Khloe Kardashian never seriously tried to become pregnant with NBA husband Lamar Odom's child because she long suspected she wasn't ready for such a lifelong commitment and the relationship might not last, according to EOnline.com.
The website reports older sister Kim Kardashian insists "the whole time" fans thought her sister was struggling with fertility issues "she wasn't trying to get pregnant."
Herself the mother of a six-month old child with boyfriend Kanye West, Kim Kardashian later clarified her comments and told EOnline "for so long, everyone in our family was feeling really sad for Khloé and thinking that she wasn't getting pregnant and everyone around her was. She was not showing up to these doctors' appointments behind our back on purpose and doing everything on purpose to not get pregnant. She knew that it wasn't right. She knew that she wasn't ready."
According to Kim, her sister did, however, do everything she could to save her relationship with Odom before finally filing for divorce last month amid claims of irreconcilable differences.
"Fortunately for Khloé, though, her family is there for her-in good times and bad," Kim Kardashian told EOnline. "When you have a really good support system, it can be easier. It's never going to be easy, but it can be easier."
