Rihanna is back on the breaking professional athletes' hearts tour.

The singer who reportedly dated both Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp and New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith, now is messing the head of Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks, according to multiple media reports.

On her Instagram account, Rihanna posted a photo of Kendricks with the caption, "Is it Monday? Cuz chhh.... #MCM." The MCM stands for "man crush Monday."

"I was flabbergasted," Kendricks told the Philadelphia FOX affiliate, Fox 43. "It was cool and very flattering. And if she sees this ... hey ..."

The post got Kendricks and his Eagles teammates fired up, but apparently that's as far as it goes with Rihanna.

Kendricks told FOX 43 that he's sought out the pop star, but to no avail, so far.

"I've been trying to reach out, but hey ...," he said.

Teammate and cornerback Brandon Boykin added, "His Twitter and Instagram are going off the chain. I think he should reach out. I don't know what his situation is, relationship-wise, so I don't want to disrespect anybody but like you said, it's Rihanna, so we'll see what happens."

The 23-year-old Kendricks can hold his own against the likes of Kemp and Smith, statistically speaking. The second-year Eagles linebacker finished the 2013 season with 106 tackles, three interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles.

The second-year player, however, may need a higher profile to try for a deeper relationship that a social media shout-out. He's making just more than $1 million per season, according to EaglesCap.com. According to Forbes.com, the 25-year-old Rihanna, who has also dated Chris Brown and Drake, has $43 million in earnings.

Or maybe Kendricks' use of the term "flabbergasted" to describe his feelings about her Instagram cost him some points.
