It was rumored last week that Daniel Bryan would be taking on Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this Sunday at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, but reports indicate that following Bryan suffering a concussion on last week's Monday Night RAW, the match between the two may be off due to the fact that Bryan won't be able to compete.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Bryan suffered the concussion during his cage match with Bray Wyatt on RAW. The report states that the concussion is said to be pretty serious despite the fact that Bryan got through the match without missing any spots. Bryan was kept off of this weekend's WWE live events and was at home resting to try and recover.

According to the report, at the end of the show when Bryan was on top of the cage leading the "Yes!" chants, he suddenly stopped and sat there before the show ended and was looking around like he was unsure. A WWE stagehand told Bryan to keep on chanting, but Bryan looked over at him and seemed completely confused and he told WWE officials afterwards that he barely remembered anything that happened during the main event.

It appears as though the WWE has opted to cancel the planned match between Bryan and Wyatt at the Royal Rumble, which means that the concussion is definitely serious and a concern. The timing of it is poor as the WWE was really starting to launch Bryan with a big push at the end of the Wyatt Family storyline.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, people backstage were really happy with the way RAW ended and one source told the affiliate that, "The whole backstage was in awe. Vince McMahon loves Bryan."

With Bryan and Wyatt's match likely canceled, the remaining matches include the 30-man 0ver-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match with the winner getting a main event shot at WrestleMania XXX, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between John Cena and Randy Orton and The Big Show taking on Brock Lesnar.

Bryan's status remains a question mark for the WWE and it remains to be seen if he'll be a part of the Royal Rumble.
