Hulk Hogan recently spoke out about his long awaited and rumored WWE return and downplayed it by joking that he wasn't returning and saying it would be a "dream come true."
"You're telling me the stories are out that I'm gonna come back to the WWE and drag around The Rock...John Cena and Vince McMahon...and drag them around like a ragdoll again, come on," he told TMZ.com when he was asked about the rumors surfacing on the internet that he'll be returning to the WWE.
Hogan, 60, has been rumored to take part in the WWE's WrestleMania XXX event that emanates from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6, but Hogan downplayed the comeback to TMZ, probably trying to keep it under wraps.
When asked if he was coming back, Hogan told TMZ, "Coming back where? I never left anywhere."
When Hogan was asked about whether or not the WWE would resign him he said he would be excited if such an event happened.
"Oh man, God that would be a dream come true I have no idea," Hogan told TMZ when asked whether or not the WWE would resign him.
It has been reported by various outlets that Hogan and the WWE have agreed to terms on a new deal and that he will be back in time for WrestleMania as he is expected to sign the deal any day now, but it seems as though Hogan is trying to deny the fact that he is coming back to try and make it a surprise. Hogan was even backstage at the WWE's announcement of the launching of the WWE Network two weeks ago in Las Vegas.
It has also been rumored that the WrestleMania I main event involving Hogan and Mr. T teaming up to take on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff in 1985 will be the first match ever inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the night before WrestleMania.
Hogan is rumored to take part in the induction and may also be involved on the actual pay-per-view. Some rumored plans for Hogan include a one-on-one match with Piper, teaming up with John Cena to take on Piper and another heel or teaming with Piper to take on The Real Americans. It has also been rumored that Hogan may not be able to wrestle, but might be in Cena's corner for a match.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Hogan, but despite his best attempts at fooling his fans, he'll be back in the WWE again soon.
