Philadelphia comes into the game looking for a series sweep while New York enters play looking to avenge a 6-4 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.

The Flyers have had a great turnaround this season after they started off sluggish and now find themselves in a playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

"We need to keep working," Claude Giroux told CSNPhilly.com. "Every game is the most important game of the season, especially when we play against our division. We need to do a better job."

Giroux leads the team with 44 points off of 13 goals and 31 assists while Wayne Simmonds has 16 tallies and 20 helpers for 36 points and Jakub Voracek has lit the lamp 14 times and added 21 assists for 35 points.

The Islanders will get a big lift to their defense when Lubomir Visnovsky returns to the lineup and he made strides towards a return by skating with the team.

"I feel like a hockey player right now because when I wake up, my legs are sore, not just my head," Visnovsky, who wore a yellow, no-contact jersey at practice, told the Islanders website. "My body feels like it did before and it's a great feeling. I am happy to skate with the guys."

The Islanders have been paced by John Tavares, who has 58 points off of 22 goals and 36 assists while Kyle Okposo has 19 markers and 28 helpers for 47 points and Thomas Vanek has found the back of the net 17 times and added 26 assists for 42 points.

In net, New York will likely go with Kevin Poulin, who is 10-14-0 with a 3.10 goal-against average and a .895 save percentage while Steve Mason will likely start for Philadelphia and is 19-11-5 with a 2.56 GAA and a .916 save percentage.

The Flyers seek a season sweep while the Islanders try to beat Philadelphia for the first time this season when the puck drops this afternoon at the Nassau Coliseum in New York.
