Even with his team heading to Super Bowl XLVIII in two weeks, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman couldn't help but take a dig at San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree following Seattle's' 23-17 victory in the NFC Championship Game.
With 22 seconds remaining in the game, Sherman tipped a pass from Colin Kaepernick that was intended for Crabtree and was intercepted by linebacker Malcolm Smith to seal the victory for Seattle. Sherman then took a shot at Crabtree after the game.
"I'm the best corner[back] in the game," Sherman told Fox Sports after the game. "When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you going to get."
Crabtree responded to Sherman and appeared to be angered by what the cornerback had to say.
"He's a TV guy, I'm not a TV guy," Crabtree said via ESPN "He didn't make any other plays in the game. ... But he made a good play there. He can keep talking. You make one play and you talk? Good play."
Crabtree then took to Twitter to dispute Sherman's comments about being the best in the world:
Film don't lie... @nflnetwork @espn pull up the tape of that game and show me where this guy is the best? #fake #fake #fake

Sherman continuously criticized Crabtree following the game. "He wouldn't make the top 20 of NFL receivers," Sherman said via ESPN. "If any team had a chance to pick Crabtree, they wouldn't draft him."
Sherman also discussed the game-changing play that stamped his team's ticket to the Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2.
"I knew if I tipped it high enough someone would get there," he told ESPN.
Following the play, Sherman appeared to go up to Crabtree and say something while patting him on the backside. Crabtree responded by pushing Sherman's face.
"I was making sure everyone knew Crabtree was a mediocre receiver," Sherman said per ESPN. "And when you try the best corner in the game with a mediocre receiver, that's what happens. I appreciate that he knows that now. There has been a lot of talk from him running his mouth about me."
With the issue behind him, Sherman and the Seahawks head to Super Bowl XLVIII to take on the Denver Broncos.
