Free agent Tim Tebow may be out of the NFL, but there are some people who believe that he will eventually get another opportunity to play in the league like former New York Jets general manager Mike Tannebaum.

"Yeah, Tim obviously didn't play well in the preseason with New England, but he's a guy (that's) incredibly passionate about his career. I would never bet against Tim. We used to have an expression that Tim's the type of guy who's either going to be successful or die trying. His relentlessness and passion - I would think he'll get another opportunity," said Tannebaum who was let go after the 2012 season in which the team finished with a 6-10 record.

But the former Jets GM admitted that it was a mistake that the Jets traded for Tebow before the start of the 2012 season. "Obviously we made a couple mistakes - trading for Tim Tebow most notably," he told CBSSports.

The once-phenomenal Tebow barely saw action for the Jets that year, as he ran the ball 32 times and only attempted eight passes. The Jets never found a way to incorporate him into the offense.

Tebow didn't receive any interest from any NFL team this season, except for the New England Patriots who cut him before their first game.

While he may be out of the league, Tebow has not given up his dream of playing NFL football. He is set to serve as a college football analyst for the pregame show "SEC Nation" of the SEC network. The said network will be launched in August.
