Percy Harvin Return To NFC Championship Game In Doubt? Seahwaks Doctors Yet To Clear Harvin,Out For 49ers? [VIDEO]

When the Seattle Seahawks take the field against the San Francisco 49ers with a trip to their first Super Bowl since 2005 hanging in the balance, it looks as though they'll do it without wide receiver Percy Harvin, who remains sidelined with a concussion he suffered last week that has left him unable to practice.

Harvin, who missed most of the season with a hip injury, was hit hard twice in last week's 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round, and is doubtful to be in the lineup when the team looks to book its trip to MetLife Stadium and Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2. The two hard hits knocked Harvin out of action last week and may knock him out of the NFC Championship Game as well.

CBS Sports reports that Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said on Thursday that Harvin hasn't yet been cleared to practice which casts some doubt over his ability to face the 49ers this week--who the Seahawks split wins with in head-to-head matchups in the regular-season with both teams notching home victories.

According to CBS Sports, Carroll said that Harvin's hip held up well last week which means if he can get through the concussion protocol he'd be good to go on Sunday and there still is a chance that he can play. Harvin had three catches for 21 yards last week before being knocked out of the game.

Harvin spent his first four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before coming over to the Seahawks prior to this season, but he hasn't been able to play for his new team very much since the hip injury sidelined him for most of the season. The absence of Harvin this year has taken one of Russell Wilson's potential weapons away, and the team would love to be able to throw Harvin into the mix against the 49ers but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to go.

Harvin was limited to just one game in the regular-season when the Seahawks took on his old team, and he had just one reception for 17 yards.

As the Seahawks look to march on to the Super Bowl against last year's NFC champion, they will likely be without Harvin when they host the 49ers on Sunday.
