Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (26-16-5, 57 points) and Ottawa Senators (21-18-8, 50 points) hit the ice at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa for the third of five meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Montreal fans can hear all of the action by adjusting their radios to TSN 690 while Ottawa fans can do the same on TSN 1200.
Montreal hasn't strung together back-to-back wins since late-December while Ottawa has won six of its last seven games. The Senators won the first two meetings between these teams, earning a 4-1 win in Ottawa on Nov. 7 and a 4-3 overtime win in Montreal on Jan. 4.
The Canadiens are having power play troubles and are coming off of a 4-1 loss at the hands of the New Jersey Devils.
"If our power play isn't doing the job right now, then maybe we've got to tighten up 5-on-5 and maybe bring some more offense 5-on-5," P.K. Subban said after practice Wednesday, according to NHL.com. "You can't always rely on the power play or penalty kill to win you hockey games. If they can every now and then it helps, but you can't be looking for that every game."
Subban leads the Canadiens with 33 points off of seven goals and 26 assists while Max Pacioretty has a goal and an assist in his past two games and 20 markers and eight helpers for 28 points and Tomas Plekanec also has 28 points off of lighting the lamp 14 times and adding 14 helpers.
The Senators haven't lost in regulation in seven games and are coming off of a 3-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.
"I think the defensive corps is starting to settle in and work for one another, the forwards are really helping the defense as well, the whole group that's on the ice is working to get pucks out of our zone," coach Paul MacLean said Tuesday per NHL.com.
The Senators have been paced offensively by Erik Karlsson, who has 43 points off of 10 goals and 33 assists while Bobby Ryan has 18 tallies and 19 helpers for 37 points and Kyle Turris, who has scored in his last three games and has found the back of the net 13 times and added 23 assists for 36 points.
In the crease, the Senators are likely to go with Craig Anderson, who has a 15-9-5 record with a 3.10 GAA and a .905 save percentage while the Canadiens will likely counter with Carey Price between the pipes, who is 21-12-4 with a 2.21 GAA and a .927 save percentage.
The Canadiens look to turn things around while the Senators hope to keep surging when the lights come up at the Canadian Tire Center tonight in Ottawa.
