Javaris Crittenton Drug Charges? Sold 'Kilos Of Cocaine, Pounds Of Marijuana' As Part Of Atlanta Empire [VIDEO]

Prosecutors have told an Atlanta judge that former NBA player Javaris Crittenton was part of a massive drug operation and sold "multi-kilo quantities of cocaine and several hundred pounds of marijuana," according to TMZ.

One day after the former NBA veteran, best known for a gun-wielding locker room confrontation with former Washington Wizards All-Star teammate Gilbert Arenas in 210 was taken into custody, authorities told a criminal court judge the drug empire Crittenton was a part of has been in operation since at least 2012.

Crittenton was arrested at his Fayetteville home early Wednesday as part of a sting operation in which at least twelve others have also already been jailed. Crittenton is also awaiting trial on a murder charge stemming from a 2011 shooting where a 22-year-old mother of four was gunned down.

In that incident, prosecutors allege he and cousin Douglas Gamble opened fire outside an Atlanta barbershop after they were robbed of more than $55,000 in personal items and jewelry.

Crittenton starred alongside current NBA star Dwight Howard at nearby Atlanta Christian Academy, where they won a state championship together in 2004. Crittenton would win another state title at Southwest Atlanta Christian in 2006 before playing for one year at Georgia Tech.

Crittenton and Arenas' 2010 standoff led to both of them being suspended for the rest of the NBA season.
