Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson's home was recently robbed, with bandits making off with roughly $250,000 in cash and merchandise, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

The newspaper reports police were called to Jackson's south Philly home early Saturday morning after his mother found the place ransacked and a safe missing. According to the report, two other safes were cracked open and raided. Jackson was not home at the time of the robbery and police now speculate it took place sometime over the past week.

Police said among the items missing was a silver 9mm handgun. A department spokesperson later told the Star-Ledger no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

The 27-year-old Jackson was the Eagles' leading receiver this season with 82 catches for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns. He inked a five-year, $51 million contract before the 2012 season. Jackson recently went on record in asserting he now believes he deserves a new contract.

According to the Star-Ledger, there were no signs of forced entry to the home and police also noted the robbers may have been tipped off to the fact Jackson was not home by reading his social media platforms, where he recently posted numerous pictures of himself vacationing in Miami.
