Aaron Rodgers admits he was disappointed in his play during Green Bay's season-ending 23-20 playoff loss to San Francisco, fueling speculation he may have been distracted by all the persistent rumors about his sexuality.

"Frustrating way to end the season," Rodgers told ProFootballTalk.com after completing 17 of 26 passes for just 177 yards on Sunday "I think a lot of us felt with the way things had gone the last four or five weeks that there was something special about this year, and everything might be aligning right for us to make a run. So, I'm very disappointed. Personally, it's frustrating not to play your best game...I think you have to start with yourself, and I could have definitely made a few more plays."

Indeed, it was an eventful week for the former Super Bowl MVP, who spent much of the week fending off public insinuations by one-time roommate and personal assistant Kevin Lanflisi claiming he was once romantically involved with the star quarterback.

Lanflisi later posted a flood of messages and photos on social media he insisted supported his claim, prompting Rodgers to speak out on the matter by week's end.

"I'm just going to say I'm not gay," Rodgers told ESPN Radio. "I really, really like women. That's all I can really say about that."
