WrestleMania 30 Rumors: Hulk Hogan, John Cena Update? 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper Fighting In Legends Match? [VIDEO]

It has been rumored for months that Hulk Hogan and John Cena will be paired together in some capacity at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome while last week it was reported that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper may be involved in it as well, and there have been updated reports on the specifics of what might happen.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the WWE is looking to have Cena, Hogan and Piper in the main event at WrestleMania XXX in some capacity. The ideas that have been discussed internally are either having Piper and Hogan team up to take on Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger in a standard tag team match, Hogan and Cena vs. Piper and another heel or Piper vs. Hogan in a legends match.

According to the report, Piper himself pitched the idea of having himself and Hogan involved in WrestleMania XXX with his idea being a tag match pitting Cena and Hogan vs. himself and another heel.

The match would play off of the main event of the original WrestleMania in 1985 that saw Hogan team up with Mr. T to defeat "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff in a match that launched the WrestleMania franchise as an annual tradition.

It remains to be seen what the WWE will opt to do, but it has been reported that due to Hogan's history with injuries and his age, he may not be able to compete at WrestleMania and he may not even be able to pass the proper medical tests in order to compete. However, if he is up to it, perhaps a tag team match with limited activity will work for Hogan.

There was also reports over the weekend by Wrestlingheadlines.com that Hogan and Cena may team up with Daniel Bryan to take on The Wyatt Family in a six-man tag team match.

Cena has speculated about Hogan's involvement in the event and said that he would like to see "The Hulkster" at WrestleMania, but wasn't sure if he'd be able to compete.

"We operate at a high level of speed in the WWE nowadays," Cena told TMZ last month. "I think you can't have a WrestleMania 30 without Hulk Hogan. I really truly hope he's there in my heart of hearts because as WrestleMania turns 30 I think we need the Hulkster, but we'll see if we can get him there to do whatever he can do."

Cena was also rumored to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, so the plans are up in the air as the WWE enters its final three months of build up before the event.
