The WWE is planning an "Old School" themed episode of Monday Night RAW tonight live from Baltimore with old school looking ring and arena set-ups, and while the company announced a slew of legends to make a return for the event, a few more names have emerged behind the scenes while a few others have noted they won't be appearing.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, The Godfather and Sgt. Slaughter are also rumored to appear tonight on RAW in some capacity.
Those two names are added to the list of legends that already includes Ric Flair, Rikishi, Too Cool, Gene Okerlund, Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page, Bob Backlund, Ted DiBiase, The New Age Outlaws, Irwin R. Schyster and Booker T, who are also scheduled to appear in some capacity on the episode.
Mick Foley is another name that is rumored to appear on RAW as the hardcore legend is slated for Tuesday night's SmackDown tapings, so it's likely that he will first appear on Monday Night RAW as a special added attraction.
Rumors surfaced that WWE Hall of Famer Edge may return for tonight's Old School RAW event, but the "Rated R Superstar" took to his personal Twitter account to let fans know he won't be able to attend, likely because of a prior commitment when a fan asked him his status for the show:
No couldn't make it “@trevor_macho_: @EdgeRatedR will you be at old school raw”
— Adam (Edge) Copeland (@EdgeRatedR) January 5, 2014
Jake "The Snake" Roberts was also rumored to make an appearance on the episode, but he also noted on his Twtter account that he won't be attending the show because the WWE didn't contact him about making an appearance after a fan asked him on the site if he'd been contacted.
Nope @HeartcoreLegend: @JakeSnakeDDT Were you contacted by WWE for Old School RAW next Monday? — JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) December 31, 2013
WWE's Old School Monday Night RAW airs at 8 p.m. ET tonight live on the U.S.A. Network from Baltimore, M.D.
