Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET, the Tampa Bay Lightning (24-12-4, 52 points) and Calgary Flames (14-20-6, 34 points) go head-to-head live from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Tampa Bay fans can hear all of the action on WFLA 970 while Calgary fans can do the same on Sportsnet 960.

Tampa Bay continues its road trip through Canada to open up 2014 while Calgary has lost all three games they've played since the Christmas break while only mustering one goal through 180 minutes.

The Lightning received a strong showing by Ben Bishop in net last game when he made 31 stops in their 4-2 victory over the Canucks in Vancouver Wednesday. Bishop was left of the Team U.S.A. Olympic roster.

"The one thing Bishop has done is put himself in the conversation of top American goalies," Lightning coach Jon Cooper told NHL.com Thursday. "You have to remember Bishop has not even played in 100 games (75), so he doesn't have a ton of NHL experience, but he'll represent the U.S. in the future and he's just coming into his own now. You want the kid to experience it for sure, but it's just not right now, his time will come."

Bishop is 21-5-3 with a 1.89 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage this season. He'll be opposed by Karri Ramo, who is 6-6-3 with a 2.79 GAA and a .904 save percentage for Calgary thus far.

The Flames have had a tough go of it recently, including a 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday despite the team getting chances.

"You hear the old line, 'As long as you're getting chances, it's OK.' But even that gets old after a while," forward T.J. Galiardi said Thursday via NHL.com. "We've got to just keep going to the net and maybe one will go off of our chest. It seems like it happens to us all the time, so it's frustrating right now, as you can tell."

Jiri Hudler (11-22-33), Mike Cammalleri (12-8-20), Sean Monahan (11-6-17) and Mark Giordano (5-12-17) have paced the Flames thus far this season.

The Lightning have been led by Martin St. Louis (17-21-38), Valtteri Filppula (15-17-32) and Alex Killorn (10-13-23) thus far this season. Filppula has five goals and seven assists for 12 points through his last eight games.

The Lightning will look to continue their strong play in Canada while the Flames look to start scoring goals when these teams hit the ice tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
