KNICKS vs ROCKETS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Houston

The New York Knicks (10-21) may have taken a big step toward turning their disastrous season around Thursday night by kicking off a three-game trip through Texas by defeating the San Antonio Spurs. They're back in action tonight on NBA TV at 8:30 p.m. ET against the Houston Rockets (21-13) in NBA action that can be live streamed here. Knicks fans can listen to the game on 98.7 ESPN New York, while Rockets fans can do the same on KBME Sports Talk 790.

The Knicks welcomed Carmelo Anthony back to the lineup last night, but it was Iman Shumpert who stole the show with his best game of the year. He scored a career-high 27 points in the game and scored the game-winning basket on a tip-in with under 30 seconds left on the clock.

"They doubled 'Melo, so a lot of times I was just wide open," Shumpert said.

Anthony said the Knicks' effort was as good as its been all season, and credited that for a victory. "The effort level was very high, the energy level was very high," Anthony said. "We played like we wanted this game."

Shumpert will have to keep it going tonight, especially on the defensive end as he'll likely be matched up with superstar shooting guard James Harden. He leads Houston with 24 points per game, and erupted for 38 points and 10 boards in Houston's last game, a loss to the Sacramento Kings.

After losing to the Kings, their second straight following a three-game winning streak, head coach Kevin McHale wasn't sounding the alarm. "We've played some poor games and this was another," coach Kevin McHale said Tuesday. "It doesn't feel like we're in much of a rhythm."

Perhaps Harden will get help in re-establishing a rhythm from former Knick Jeremy Lin, who has piled up 43 points in his last two outings vs. the orange and blue.
