The Canadiens blew a 3-0 lead in what eventually became a 5-4 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
"We were ready to play, but we lost discipline and momentum from our team," Montreal coach Michel Therrien said per NHL.com. "We have been disciplined most of the time, and this is the first time I have seen that. There were some calls that were hard to take."

The Stars defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon to extend their point streak to seven games.
"I think we know our identity, and that's to be good defensively and use our team speed when we have a chance," Rich Peverley told the Dallas Morning News "There's not a lot of teams in the league that can skate with us. We have four lines and six [defensemen] that can all skate."
Tyler Seguin has paced the Stars with 39 points off of 20 goals and 19 assists while Jamie Benn has a four-game point streak for a season total of 35 points off of 13 markers and 22 assists and Alex Chiasson has 21 points while lighting the lamp eight times and adding 13 assists.
