There has been a lot of speculation regarding what John Cena's role will be at the WWE's WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view event on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, and new reports indicate that he may be involved with Hulk Hogan after all, while "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's name has also been thrown around.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the latest backstage news involving Cena and WrestleMania was that he will be involved in a tag team match or alignment in some form with Hulk Hogan. This recent talk would indicate that the WWE is getting closer to signing Hogan to a deal.

There were rumors in recent months that Hogan and Cena would be tagging at the event, but there was some concern to whether or not Hogan's age and injuries would prohibit him from passing medical tests.

It seems that even if Hogan can't go, he may be in Cena's corner or somehow aligned with him at the WWE's biggest event of the year. The report indicates that the WWE has mulled having Cena team with Hogan to take on "The Real Americans" Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro, with other reports leaning towards Cena having Hogan in his corner to take on his opponent at WrestleMania.

Reports indicate that the WWE has also had talks of involving "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the event somehow by either pitting Hogan and Cena against Piper and another heel, Hogan and Piper vs. The Real Americans, or Hogan vs. Piper in a legends singles match on the anniversary of the two wrestlers being on opposite sides in a tag team match in the main event of WrestleMania I in 1985.

If Cena is involved in a tag match, it is likely that Randy Orton will retain the title against Cena at the Royal Rumble in their rematch from TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It has been rumored that Batista will win the Royal Rumble match and then face Orton at WrestleMania for the title.

A rumored Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match has been scratched, and it looks as though Orton, Cena, Batista, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar will be the six men in the Elimination Chamber match which will likely be for the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view Feb. 23.

It remains to be seen what Cena will be doing at WrestleMania, but with Hogan close to a deal and Piper returning for the retro episode of RAW on Monday, it is likely the WWE will have them both on hand for WrestleMania XXX.
