Philadelphia enters the second tilt of a six-game road trip after a come-from-behind win to open it up while Vancouver is 10-1-1 in December and 6-0-0 at Rogers Arena this month. The first time these two teams met, the Canucks defeated the Flyers 3-2 in Philadelphia on Oct. 15.

The Canucks defeated the Calgary Flames 2-0 on Sunday night in their first game since Dec. 22.

"We got a long break, but the points are just as important as they are in late March and early April, and these points are going to stick with us to the end," said Jannik Hansen, according to NHL.com. "If you look at the standings, it's extremely tight. If you're not stringing wins together, you're not going anywhere."

The Canucks have been led by the Sedin twins as Henrik Sedin has 34 points off of nine goals and 25 assists while Daniel Sedin has 33 points off of 12 tallies and 21 helpers. Ryan Kesler leads the team with 15 markers and has added 12 assists for 27 points.

The Flyers came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night.

"You can't make risky plays at times and turning pucks over and stuff," coach Craig Berube told Flyers website Sunday. "You're not going to win hockey games if you do that. You can't give freebies to teams, especially with skill."

Claude Giroux has 10 points in his last five games and paces the Flyers with 35 points off of 10 goals and 25 assists while Jakub Voracek has lit the lamp nine times and added 18 helpers for 27 points and Wayne Simmonds has two goals in each of his last three games and has found the twine 12 times and added 12 assists for a total of 24 points.

In between the pipes, the Flyers will likely go with Steve Mason, who is 15-9-4 with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage while Vancouver will likely go with Eddie Lack, who is 7-2-0 with a 1.74 GAA and a .933 save percentage. Roberto Luongo (lower-body) is out.

The Flyers look to win their second straight road game while Vancouver hopes to stay undefeated at home in December when the puck drops tonight at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
