Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was once involved in a gay relationship with his former roommate and assistant, according to RadarOnline.

The website reports Rodgers and Kevin Lanflisi once were a budding item and only had a falling out after Rodgers reneged on his promise to join a number of other NFL players in publicly coming out as gay last summer. Radar reports Lanflisi then moved out of Rodgers' Wisconsin home and moved to California.

Radar adds there are also photos taken from screengrabs' of Lanflisi's Twitter page that attest to the relationship, among them images of the two men posing together at black-tie events, on the golf course and at various casual outings. According to Radar, Lanflisi also once posted a selfie wearing Rodgers' Super Bowl ring title win.

A source also told Radar Lanflisi was the first person Rodgers embraced after the Packers' Super Bowl win and has recently resulted to posting a string of "bitter subliminal" tweets ... alluding to a relationship much deeper than a friendship he had."

In another instance, Lanflisi captioned a Sept. 30 selfie, "silence always comes with an expiration date.." The source also told Radar that Lanflisi "has never once tweeted about having a girlfriend just mainly about the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, and Justin Bieber's music."

Over the years, the 30-year-old Rodgers has been romantically linked to model and longtime friend Destiny Newton.

In 2008, Rodgers also talked to the Sporting News in length about Lanflisi telling the magazine of the then Green Bay Packers trainer "our friendship goes a lot deeper than what we do."
