Kurt Warner Advice To Tim Tebow: 'Forget' NFL, Play Elsewhere To Earn Opportunity [VIDEO]

Kurt Warner is advising Tim Tebow that the best way to resurrect his NFL dreams is by now walking away from the game.

Warner, who infamously stocked groceries and played Arena League football before getting his NFL break, told TMZ he doesn't believe Tebow will ever be given another NFL quarterbacking opportunity unless he plays in another league first.

Tebow last played in an NFL game during the preseason, before New England coach Bill Belichick cut him as Tom Brady's would-be backup. Since then, despite being linked to jobs from Jacksonville to Chicago to St. Louis, the 26-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner has yet to be able to catch on with any other squad.

More recently, several media outlets reported Tebow hired CAA to partner with football agent Jimmy Sexton and gauge interest in his broadcast services and working college football games.

Warner went on to play 12 NFL seasons, winning two NFL MVP awards for the St. Louis Rams and being named Super Bowl MVP in 1999. He also led the Arizona Cardinals to the franchise's first ever Super Bowl berth in 2008 and owns the three best single-game passing totals in league Super Bowl history.
