Jay Cutler will remain the Chicago Bears starting quarterback for the team's NFC North deciding finale against the rival Green Bay Packers, coach Marc Trestman told ESPN Sunday night after his team was trounced by Philadelphia 54-11.

"We lost the line of scrimmage, Trestman told ESPN after Cutler was sacked five times, hurried countless others and threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown before being pulled late in the game for Josh McCown. "We didn't do as good a job as obviously we've done at protecting Jay. He got hit in this game than he's been hit at any time during the season."

Though quarterback remains an intriguing issue, it's hardly the most pressing one for Trestman and co. Once the heart and soul of the team, the Bears' defense allowed a 100-yard rusher for the 10th straight game. Both LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown topped 100 yards in Sunday's debacle.

After averaging 34 points over the last three games, the Bears offense also struggled mightily against the Eagles. Matt Forte entered Sunday's game having run for 100-plus yards in three straight games but at one point against the Eagles had amassed just six yards on five carries.

"There is no excuse for what happened or what we didn't do," Forte told ESPN. "Nobody played well on our side. It was just one of those games where everything was going their way and nothing went our way."
