Today at 4:25 p.m. ET, the Oakland Raiders (4-10) and San Diego Chargers (7-7) go head-to-head live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. The game can be live streamed here. Oakland fans can hear all of the action on 95.7 The Game while San Diego fans can do the same on KIOZ 105.3.
The Chargers need a lot of help to make the playoffs but look to start by helping themselves out with a victory today while the Raiders are aiming to win their fourth game in their last five.
San Diego is coming off of a stunning road win that saw them defeat the conference-leading Denver Broncos 27-20 last week. The Chargers have won three straight games and their slim chances of clinching the final AFC wild-card spot are still standing though even if they win out they still aren't guaranteed a spot.
"We can lament and kick ourselves for those losses or we can worry about what we can control and that's two games left in the season," safety Eric Weddle said per ESPN. "I really don't care what happened the previous 14 games because they're gone and I'm focusing on the Raiders."
The Chargers will turn to Philip Rivers once again, who is 337-for-482 (69.9%) for 4,048 yards with 28 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
The Raiders are coming off of a great offensive performance, but the team still lost 56-31 to the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
Matt McGloin made his fifth straight start and threw for a career-high 297 yards and two touchdowns while adding a career-worst four interceptions. McGloin is 98-for-176 (55.7%) for 1,341 yards with eight scores and seven picks this season. The team has continued to mix Terrelle Pryor into the offense as well.
"We're getting used to it," McGloin said, according to ESPN. "We do it throughout practice and throughout the course of the week. The coaches are doing what they feel puts us in the best position to win, and I'm on board for that."
Rashad Jennings rushed on a season-high 23 attempts for 91 yards and two touchdowns and has six touchdowns and 679 rushing yards off of 149 carries thus far this season. Darren McFadden (ankle) may return.
The Raiders look for their fourth game in their last five while the Chargers try to keep their playoff chances alive with a win when these teams take the field this afternoon in San Diego.
