Today at 4:05 p.m. ET, the Arizona Cardinals (9-5) and Seattle Seahawks (12-2) go head-to-head live from CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The game can be live streamed here. Arizona fans can hear all of the action on KTAR 92.3 while Seattle fans can do the same on KCPQ 1360.
The Seahawks are hoping to gain home-field advantage all the way up to the Super Bowl with a win while the Cardinals know that a loss could be a dagger to their playoff aspirations.
The Seahawks have the NFL's best record and made it all the way to the Super Bowl the last time they clinched home field through the NFC Championship, but eventually lost in the big game to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005. The Seahawks have won 14 straight regular season games at home and are looking to make it 15 this afternoon.
"Here we come this week and there's nothing new, which is a good thing. We're going to make the most of what we got," said coach Pete Carroll, according to ESPN. "I would've wanted it as soon as we could've won it and dealt with that challenge, but right now I think we understand clearly what we're trying to get done here."
Seattle looks to win its second NFC West division crown under Carroll.
Seattle made a great impression at the site of this year's Super Bowl with a 23-0 shutout of the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium last week. The Seahawks picked off Giants quarterback Eli Manning five times.
"All the guys contributed, the linebacker and everyone contributed," Carroll said via ESPN. "The fact that we stayed on top of the deep ball really well again and when they threw it, we were there to challenge the ball as well as played tight coverage underneath. So there was some really cool stuff."
Quarterback Russell Wilson has yet to lose at home in his career and is 231-for-357 (64.7%) for 3,077 yards with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season and has rushed for 508 yards on 89 carries while reaching the end zone once.
The last time the Seahawks played the Cardinals, Marshawn Lynch rushed for 91 yards and a score. On the season, Lynch has 260 rushing attempts for 1,089 yards and 11 scores.
The Cardinals are hopeful that they have confidence after clinching their first winning season since 2009 and beating the Tennessee Titans 37-34 last week.
"We're starting to get a lot of confidence as a team," quarterback Carson Palmer told ESPN. "Obviously, they're confident for a reason. They've won a lot of football games, they've won at home, but we've been playing well the past couple of months. It's a big game for them, a big game for us."
Palmer is 321-for-498 (64.5%) for 3,689 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.
Larry Fitzgerald, who has 73 receptions for 823 yards with 10 scores and a streak of 104 consecutive games played, could miss the game with a concussion.
The Seahawks look to clinch home field while the Cardinals try to keep their hopes alive when these teams take the field today in Seattle.
