For sure, Aaron Rodgers, despite his age, has still "got something left" in his tank. After he left the New York Jets, several rumors have suggested his best possible destinations this free agency. One of them is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, while many fans imagine the idea of Rodgers wearing a Steelers jersey, Cam Heyward, the team's defensive tackle isn't beating around the bush when it comes to his recruitment of the veteran quarterback.

On a recent episode of his "Not Just Football" podcast, Heyward made one thing clear—Rodgers has a straightforward decision to make.

Cam Heyward Won't Play Games with Recruiting

Asked if he would go to any lengths, such as staying in a "darkness retreat" to recruit Rodgers to the Steelers, Heyward didn't mince words.

"I ain't doing that darkness retreat. I don't need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. That simple, that's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's the recruiting pitch," the 35-year-old joked.

He is best known for his no-nonsense personality, and Heyward reinforced that his recruitment style isn't about putting on a show.

Rodgers Taking His Time to Weigh Options

As Heyward's frank pitch hits the headlines, Rodgers appears to be approaching his decision of where he'll play his next NFL season in a more tempered manner.

The four-time NFL MVP was seen walking on a beach in Malibu over the weekend, pensive as he absorbed the sun's descent into the Pacific. According to sources, Rodgers has no timetable to make up his mind, taking his time as he considers his choices for next season.

What Rodgers Seeks from His Next Roster

Earlier this month, when asked about his wish list for the next team, Rodgers emphasized two considerations: to feel wanted and to be surrounded by talent.

With these criteria in mind, then the million-dollar question is, will Pittsburgh pan out?

Steelers' Chance of 'Fit' with Rodgers

Steelers possess an elite defense and a foundation fueled by Heyward and T.J. Watt but they need consistency on their offense. With a seasoned quarterback such as Rodgers, this can be the last piece to catapult Pittsburgh into viable Super Bowl relevance.

However, NFL Network's Michael Robinson said that Rodger's "best fit" is to retire as soon as possible. The analyst added that he got everything he needed that's why his best destination is the couch.
