The Los Angeles Lakers fans have so many expectations for Luka Doncic especially now that LeBron James is out for the meantime. He was always expected to step up and lead the team to victory, but their latest outing against the Brooklyn Nets exposed his weakness.
The Slovenian point guard ended up with 22 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals. But his ineffectiveness was the big talking point, as he went only 8-for-26 from the field and 3-for-10 from three-point range in 41 minutes of play.

"Luka Doncic was a mistake. Will never be number one. Never," another posted.
"Watch Luka tryna flop there at the end to get a call. Ridiculous s**t man lol," another NBA viewer wrote on the platform.
Doncic was not the only Lakers player to be blamed. Even Austin Reaves was a subject of criticism.
"Role players did their job. Luka and Reaves cost us this game. Mostly Reaves," one user said.

While everyone was freely torching Luka over his poor shooting, Celtics' Jaylen Brown admired Luka.
In a report by Lakers Nation, Brown said that Luka is one of the greats and he's a generational talent.
"So he's one of my favorite players on that side of the ball, so I spent a lot of time watching his game and things like that. Tonight, I was able to make some plays. But Luka is a great player," Brown added.
