The New York Jets (6-8) will be playing for pride and perhaps to save head coach Rex Ryan's job when they take the field at MetLife Stadium at 1:00 p.m. ET against the Cleveland Browns (4-10) today. Watch the game on CBS or live stream it here. Browns fans can listen to the game on WKNR 850, while Jets fans can catch the radio broadcast on 98.7 ESPN New York.

Ryan's believed to be on the hot seat since the Jets hired a new general manager in the offseason and they failed to make the postseason. Still, Ryan sounds a confident tune when discussing his future with Gang Green.

"Look, I'm a competent guy, even though I know that will be questioned a zillion times forward and backward, whatever, that's fine," Ryan said. "But I know I'm a good football coach. I believe in this team. I believe in this organization and I'm determined to bring a winner to this team, there's no question about it. I know and I believe that I'm the right guy for it. Now again, I'm not the guy making that decision."

One way for Rex to maintain his position as Jets head coach is if his players respond positively to the pressure and get their record to .500 to end the season. Winning half their games would be a vast improvement over their preseason projections.

"We're going out there and playing for Rex because he's our head coach and we want to play hard for him and we want to win games for him," quarterback Geno Smith said. "He coaches us hard, he puts the time and effort in and he deserves for our team to go out and that's what we do every single week. I love Rex. And despite what decision is made, my feelings toward him will never change."
