22-year-old tennis player Emma Raducanu has shared her thoughts on a stalking incident that took place in Dubai.

Raducanu returns to action in Indian Wells, and the athlete gave a deeper insight on what she has been through in an interview.

Emma Raducanu's Stalking Incident in Dubai

Raducanu has been aware of a man who's followed her to four different tournaments in locations such as Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and finally, Dubai.

The unnamed man approached her near her hotel in Dubai and gave her a letter, according to the BBC. He also took her photo. Raducanu reported the man to someone in her team, but the tournament organizer was not informed until the next day.

The 22-year-old spotted the man during her second-round match against Karolina Muchova, which left her in tears, according to Sky Sports.

'It Could Have Been Dealt With Better'

While the man has now been given a restraining order, Raducanu laments that the whole situation could have been dealt with in a better way.

"I think that since that incident I have definitely got increased attention and greater security," she said.

"I think all we can do is look at what happened and react to it in a better way, in a more positive way, rather than looking back and blaming the situation," Raducanu added. "It could have been dealt with better, but now it is being dealt with better so for me that's important."
