Malik Beasley is taking care of business with Detroit Pistons' longest winning streak in 17 years, but it seems that the same cannot be said about his relationship with his wife.

Montana Yao, Beasley's wife, has legally filed for separation—exactly one day before the couple's fifth anniversary. In court documents, Yao, a 27-year-old model, is listing "irreconcilable differences" as the grounds for separation and is demanding spousal support.

This is not the first time that the couple faced marital issues. In December 2020, Yao initiated divorce proceedings after Beasley was seen in public hand-in-hand with Larsa Pippen, People reports.

"Wow... I don't even know this man. This is wild y'all I'm seeing it for the first time just like y'all," Yao wrote on her Instagram Stories on Dec. 1, 2020.

The drama raised eyebrows, with Yao confessing that she was "blindsided" by the images. Through the startling event, the two did patch things up and decided to carry on for a few more years.

Beasley and Yao have two children—son Makai, born in March 2019, and daughter Mia, who was born in November 2022.
