Newly released police bodycam footage shows Marcus Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, trying to use his father's name to get out of trouble during his arrest early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at 1:14 AM when Maitland Police officers found Marcus and a woman inside a blue Lamborghini SUV that had gotten stuck on train tracks.

Stuck Lamborghini and Signs of Intoxication

As seen in the video, Marcus tried to get the luxury SUV off the tracks by pressing the gas pedal over and over, but the tires just spun. When officers told him to get out of the vehicle, he kept asking them to help free the car.

According to TMZ Sports, there were signs of possible intoxication, including slurred speech and poor balance, which led the officers to refuse his request and instead conduct a pat-down search.

Name-Dropping Michael Jordan to Avoid Arrest

Even using his father's name is not enough for Marcus to be spared from police arrest.

During the interaction, he attempted to use his father's name to gain favor with the officers. As they checked his waistband, he told them, "I'm Marcus Jordan. Michael Jordan's son."

He then tried to downplay the situation, emphasizing that he just wanted to get his vehicle off the tracks.

Failed Sobriety Tests and Cocaine Discovery

Having already conceded he was drinking earlier in the night, officers led him through a number of field sobriety tests, which he failed. They then told him he was going to be arrested for DUI.

Marcus objected to the officers' decision, but within mere minutes, officers searched his pocket and retrieved a small baggie filled with a white powdery substance. Police reports state that the substance was later identified as cocaine, per ESPN.

Resisting Officers and Heated Exchanges

The footage also captures Marcus growing increasingly agitated during his arrest. At one point, he told officers, "All you're going to find in my pants is a big dick and some big balls."

When officers attempted to place him in the patrol car, he initially refused and demanded that they "chill the f*** out." He eventually complied and was taken to a nearby jail.

Marcus Jordan Charged With Three Offenses

On the way, he reportedly argued with the patrolling officers as if disputing their right to detain him, and boasted that he was "too famous" to be arrested. He also occasionally sang along to the song aired on the transfer vehicle radio.

MJ's son faces three offenses. First is the DUI with property damage, second is cocaine possession, and last is resisting an officer without violence. Jordan was released several hours later from jail.

No Comments From Marcus or Michael Jordan

After his release, Marcus did not say anything to reporters outside the jail. Neither he nor his father, Michael, has commented on the situation since the arrest.
