Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is not counting on the prospect of superstar freshman Jabari Parker staying in college next year, saying the heralded forward will likely pack his bags to apply for the 2014 NBA Draft.

Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show on Friday, Coach Krzyzewski said that while his player 'loves college' there is minimal chance that he will remain with the Blue Devils next year as reported by NESN.com.

"He's really a Duke kid. He's a great student, amazing family, high moral fiber. He's the real deal in every aspect. He'll be associated with Duke and our program forever, kind of like Kyrie [Irving] is," said the coach. "I would think he would go [to the NBA], but he's the type of kid [who loves college], he just loves college, but I think he has a chance to end up being the No. 1 pick or at least in the top three, so that's pretty difficult to give up."

Because of his belief that Parker would eventually leave his team next year, Krzyzewski said he has prepared for next year without his talented forward. However, he also has a plan in place in case the 18-year old eventually stays put for one more season.

Parker is one of the highly touted freshmen this year with averages of 22.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists. He has spearheaded the Blue Devils campaign this year with the team losing only to Arizona and Kansas led by another super freshman, Andrew Wiggins.
