The election victory over Kamala Harris will see Donald Trump appear in UFC 309.

UFC fighter Michael Chandler confirmed this as he declared that Trump had earlier said he'd attend the Madison Square Garden event in case of his victory on Nov. 5.

Chandler, who is scheduled to face Charles Oliveira in the co-main event, told TMZ Sports that this excites him since he is looking forward to the possible coming into the octagon.

"He said, 'I'll either be there on Nov. 16 because we won the election, or if I lost, I'll be depressed and I won't show up,'" Chandler told the outlet. "Obviously, he won the election, so it sounds like he's going to be there."

It is not the first time Trump is attending UFC events. As long as a man has been living, Trump has attended numerous Dana White-organized fights. He recently attended the UFC 302 in June 2019 when he visited Newark, New Jersey. His frequent attendance has made him a popular personality at UFC events. His attendance at the UFC 309 would continue this trend.

Chandler said that he has always been an ardent supporter of the former president. He even joked that he is prepared for the bigger bout against Oliveira by donning a patriot suit.

Chandler's Brazilian opponent, Charles Oliveira, chimed in as well on TMZ, saying it would be "cool" to fight in front of Trump. The bout will take place before the hotly anticipated Jon Jones- Stipe Miocic heavyweight matchup, so expect one action-packed night.

"I will have the American flag on my person," Chandler promised. "And it'll be an honor to go out there, get my hand raised, at the world's most iconic arena, in front of our president-elect, and it's going to be a good night at Madison Square Garden."

Two weeks before the election some UFC fighters including Henry Cejudo, Beneil Dariush, and Justin Gathje were encouraging Arab-American voters to vote for Trump. They claimed that Donald would be a peacemaker in the Middle East.
