Boban Marjanović will stay in the NBA if a team will have him. Otherwise, the 7'4 Serbian is ready to bring his skills elsewhere.
The nine-year NBA veteran was in Slovenia over the weekend to witness the final game of Goran Dragic in Ljubljana before he retires. The charity event was the 38-year-old's farewell game and was attended by other stars like Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Steve Nash, Chris Bosh, and more, the NBA confirmed.
While in the country, Marjanović spoke with Meridian Sport to share his career plans. The 2015 EuroLeague rebounding leader said that he is waiting for an NBA team to sign him, but he also has options in mind if no organization will sign him.
"I enjoy every segment of life. I'm waiting for the NBA, but if it doesn't happen, there is a lot on paper going on. But let's move on," the three-time Serbian league MVP said, as translated by EuroHoops.
Marjanović argued that "plans always change" so he prefers not to have one.

Boban Marjanović's NBA career
Marjanović has played in the NBA for nine seasons. He made his NBA debut in the 2015-2016 season with the San Antonio Spurs before playing for five other teams. His last one was with the Houston Rockets, from 2022 to 2024.
In two seasons with the Rockets, he played a total of 45 games and averaged 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 5.3 minutes.
In 331 NBA games, his career averages are 5.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 8.7 minutes.
Despite struggling to find stability in the NBA, Marjanović has had much success internationally. He was a three-time MVP and All-Serbian League First Team in the Serbian KLS Super League from 2012 to 2015 and was a KLS champion in 2015.
He was also a EuroLeague rebounding leader and All-EuroLeague First Team pick in 2015.
Marjanović was undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft but has been playing professionally since 2006. If another NBA team signs Boban next season, it would be his seventh NBA team.
