Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant has offered a different perspective regarding his Team USA teammate and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James in the debates about the Greatest Player of All Time (GOAT).

While he usually includes himself in these discussions, Durant suggested for the first time that James is considered the best player ever.

"The enthusiasm and the energy he has for the game is just contagious. The more you're around him as a teammate, you can see why he's considered the best player to ever play," the 35-year-old said about the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

Durant and James are teammates for Team USA in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, marking their first time on the same team in an official competition (excluding the All-Star Game) since 2012.

Durant and James and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry are considered the best players of the 2010s.

Stephen Curry gives LeBron James 'ultimate' praise

Meanwhile, Curry, another career rival of James, has highly praised the four-time NBA Finals MVP.

"He was the shining star of the future of basketball before he even started high school. He's raised the level of the entire league and has continued to do that. The ultimate champion," the NBA's first and only unanimous MVP, stated about James.

Curry's first Olympic competition will be the upcoming Summer Games, but he has previously won two gold medals for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup in 2010 and 2014.
