Former NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson made a heartfelt and lengthy petition for an opportunity to play again in the league.

The 6-foot-6 forward wrote a message sharing his story on a now-deleted post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

"My game has evolved in many ways while still having the tools that got me to the NBA. I'm confused as to why I can't get an opportunity? OK, I made mistakes at 24 that I wouldn't make at 30. But that's life, you learn from those mistakes. I'm not asking for anything other than a chance. s**t, I'll sleep in the gym," the 29-year-old said.

Hollis-Jefferson expressed frustration about being away from his family and noted his good relationship with the NBA.

The former Arizona Wildcats player spent six seasons in the NBA from 2015-16 to 2020-21, with the first four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and the last two with the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson gained attention for emulating Kobe Bryant

Hollis-Jefferson became a naturalized player for Jordan in July 2023, where he was the country's main reinforcement in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

During the international tournament, the former first-round pick drew attention for plays reminiscent of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

He notably wore the number 24 jersey for Jordan and executed a similar bold haircut that evoked memories of the all-time great.
