Another problem has compounded the Chicago Bulls' difficulty in finding a suitable trade for star Zach LaVine.
According to team insider Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the relationship between the Bulls' front office and LaVine is completely shattered and is filled with mistrust.
Cowley confirmed previous reports, stating that the Bulls had presented dozens of trade options involving LaVine to teams across the league in the last few months, but they had not been successful.

While it is possible that LaVine will remain with the Bulls and return to a welcoming locker room, the front office and ownership view this outcome as the worst-case scenario.
Mistrust on both sides due to several factors
LaVine and his team at Klutch Sports believe they were given false information about potential trade destinations.
Meanwhile, the Bulls saw LaVine's decision to undergo season-ending surgery on his right foot instead of continuing rehabilitation as unfair.
LaVine just played 25 games in 2023-24 before undergoing season-ending right foot surgery in February.
His trade value has plummeted due to his injury, and teams may consider the remaining $138 million and three years on his five-year, $215 million contract signed with the Bulls in July 2022 as too expensive under the new CBA rules.
