Jaylen Brown appears to be the frontrunner for this year's NBA Finals MVP after consistent performance since Game 1 (except Game 4).

This should not be an issue because of how he's been playing, but some people want to put intrigue behind it.

Jayson Tatum has been the Celtics' main guy since getting drafted in 2017, with Brown as the Robin to his Batman.

How will Batman feel with Brown poised to win the prestigious individual award?

Tatum has no problem not winning a Finals MVP.

He said it is essential, but he will not feel bad as other NBA greats did not win everything at once.

"It's important, but it's not like the main thing," he said.

He referenced other NBA greats who did not win all the Finals MVP when they had their chances.

"Isiah Thomas did not win Finals MVP everytime. Tim Duncan did not win Finals MVP every time. Larry Bird, Steph Curry only has one. Kobe has two."

"I would not the slightest bit be sad that I didn't win Finals MVP, I would be ecstatic to just to win the Finals."

No issue between Tatum and Brown

People have tried to put a wedge between Tatum and Brown since they came together with the Celtics.

That was what Tatum was thinking when Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd suggested that Brown is the best player in the Celtics and not him.

However, the former Duke standout is not about competing with his teammates.

He wants everyone to perform at their best to achieve their goal.

"Man, I want everybody to be at their best. I want everybody to contribute. Winning will take care of everything," Tatum said in a June 14 interview with Chris Haynes.
