It's official. Kylian Mbappe is a Blanco.

The French superstar and the world's most successful football club have reached a deal after a year of speculation about their link-up and tug-of-war with his former team, Paris St. Germain.

Real Madrid is just a day removed from winning their 15th UEFA Champions League title, so that means a double celebration for their fans.

The team's legendary goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, is confused about what landing Mbappe feels like.

He is comparing signing the 25-year-old forward to winning the most prestigious football trophy.

"I don't know if we won the Champion League on Saturday or if we won it today with Mbappé's signing," Casillas said.

It is not far-fetched, though.

Mbappe is the most accomplished young player of this generation. He is the most skilled.

He was among the leaders of France when it won the World Cup in 2018.

At a young age, he was already competing toe to toe with the best in the sport.

Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid's connection decades back

Real Madrid had their eyes on Mbappe long before his name exploded in the scene.

The historic club had already scouted him when he was just 11 years old.

Mbappe is also a fan of Real Madrid. For him, playing at Bernabeu and wearing its colors is a childhood dream turning into a reality.

"A dream come true," he wrote on X.

"So happy and proud to join the club of my dream. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can't wait to see you, Madridistas (Madrid fans), and thanks for your unbelievable support. ¡Hala Madrid!"
