The 64-year-old posted his message on Sunday, June 2, on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

"Continued condolences and prayers for the Gordon family following the loss of son, brother, husband, father, teammate and friend to many, Drew Gordon. Drew is the older brother of Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon and a former professional basketball player himself," the Hall of Famer stated.

Gordon lost his life in a tragic car accident at the age of 33 last Thursday, May 30, in Clackamas County, Oregon, more than 10 miles southeast of downtown Portland.

Gordon met his untimely demise while driving a Vanderhall Carmel, a three-wheeled autocycle, which crossed over the center line and collided with a pickup truck.

On the other hand, the driver and passenger of the pickup truck were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police reports indicate that impairment was not a factor in the accident.
