Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green defended his team against another former NBA player's ludicrous claim.

The 34-year-old took to social media to respond to former Detroit Pistons big man Rasheed Wallace's assertion that their 2003-04 Pistons team, which won the NBA title that year, would beat the 2016-17 Warriors, a team regarded by some as the greatest in history.

"Sheed we would've smacked yall. Yall was scoring 72 points per game. That's not winning a half. And we putting you and them big ass forces in every pick and roll. Let's see you move them feet. That one ring was great though big bro. We all appreciated it!," the four-time NBA champion posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

The 2016-17 Warriors are considered the peak of their dynasty. This was the first season of Kevin Durant, who joined the team during the summer of 2016. This was a team already coming off a 73-9 season.

Rasheed Wallace's prior comments on the Warriors

Wallace claimed that their 2004 Pistons team, which defeated the Shaq and Kobe-led Los Angeles Lakers in the finals, would decimate the Warriors.

The 39-year-old cited their physicality, defense, and favorable matchups as reasons they would win.

"We would have beat the s**t out of them because of the simple fact that they couldn't match up with us at any position. Steph is not a defender... They're not used to the physicality. Draymond is too little... We have more guys with a greater skillset," the four-time NBA All-Star stated.
