Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards expressed confidence that his team will return to Dallas for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals against the Mavericks, despite Game 5 yet to be played and just finishing Game 4, where they won and cut the series deficit to 3-1.
The 22-year-old also revealed in the post-game conference that he spoke with Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, who had courtside seats to watch the game.
"What am I supposed to say, we're gonna lose Game 5? I would never say that. Micah Parsons, he was rocking the AE1s. I told him he wears size 14, I'll bring back some nice shoes for Game 6," Edwards told the media after the game.
Parsons was present at the game wearing Anthony Edwards' first signature shoe, Adidas AE1, in the Velocity Blue colorway, although he also wore Mavericks star Luka Dončić's jersey. Edwards and Parsons were able to pose for a picture.
Other Cowboys players, including cornerback Trevon Diggs and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa, accompanied Parsons at the game.
Micah Parsons just signed endorsement deal with Adidas
Parsons recently signed an endorsement deal with Adidas earlier this month, the same brand as Edwards' shoe.
This may explain why he cannot wear hometown star Luka Dončić's sneakers, as the Slovenian guard endorses the Jordan Brand.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection's deal with the Three Stripes is a multiyear pact that will see him sport Adidas apparel and specialty footwear on the field and participate in brand marketing campaigns.
