Kylian Mbappé, who is set to depart his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, this summer in an open secret move to Real Madrid, might have another club in mind to showcase his talents.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the Frenchman revealed that if he were to move to Serie A, he would focus solely on AC Milan.

"Me in Italy? We never know what can happen. When I was a kid, I was a fan of Milan, and I always said that if one day I come to Italy, I am going to play at Milan. So we never know what can happen, but I always watch the Italian league, every game of Milan," the 25-year-old admitted.

Mbappé shared a sentimental reason for considering AC Milan as a potential destination.

"Because since I was a young kid, I was with a family close to mine, they are big Milan fans, and I was always there as a kid in their house to watch Milan's games. So now I keep watching the games," the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner added.

Kylian Mbappe doubles down on AC Milan claim from 2022

This isn't the first time Mbappé has expressed his admiration for AC Milan.

In 2022, after the Rossoneri won the 2021-22 Serie A title, the departing PSG forward claimed that his connection with the club was special.

"My connection with AC Milan is special. As a child I had an Italian nanny and spent a lot of time with her family, who were all AC Milan fans. So, thanks to them, I also cheered for the Rossoneri and watched a lot of AC Milan games," PSG's all-time topscorer shared.
